Welcome to my Website!

This is my bird Indy...Named after this years Superbowl Champs the Indianapolis Colts. She is the light of my life. The 'sun' in my sky. Okay thats taking it a bit far but hey she is what cat lovers call the cats meow, but us in the bird world call the birdies tweedle lee dee. I mean look at her.

Indy came to be my bird on a whim actually. I had been shopping for a cockatiel after badgering my hubbie relentlessly for months. Then I walked into my favorite petstore to find...Bluebell, a nippy, funny, blue quaker. My mommy had told me she wanted to buy me a special Christmas prestent that year so I called her jokingly to find out if it was Bluebell special. IT WAS...AND THEN SOME!!!  I was blown away. I was about to get a bird! I was excited beyond beleif. Then the girl showed me an aquarium with a little bird with pinfeathers that wasn't spoken for yet. "We have a sun conure over here." I looked down at the little thing that was demanding to be fed and I was smitten. I reached down and grabbed up the little thing and snuggled it close to my face where it then tried to eat my nose. "SOLD!" I told the girl. She laughed, then looked and me and said, "Oh are you serious?".

I bought Indy on December 18th 2005 and got to bring her home Feb 12th 2006 when she'd finally decided to wean completely. I was in the petstore everyday in between except for Christmas and New Years Day because they were closed. I know the girls where happy to see Indy go home because that meant they got to see me less.

Indy has settled into this family and made herself apart of this flock quite nicely. We all have loved her from the start. She on the other hand has been less inclined to love everyone equally. The girl is a diva which makes me wonder why it is I ever thought Indy was a boy up until last month (Feb 07). She has to have what she wants when she wants it or the whole world is falling apart. Yet in the bird worldl I guess that par for the course. We still love her though in spite of her naughty little temper. I love her more BECAUSE of her naughty streak. What can I say I'm crazy like that.

Anyway thats my bird and the story of how she came to our flock. Keep coming back for more and I'm sure you will be amazed by her antics. I know I am.
